Thank You for an Incredible 2025

As we wrap up 2025, we want to take a moment to say thank you for being part of the Fluen community.

This year has been an exciting one for Fluen. Our revenues more than doubled, and together we crossed a major milestone: over 1,000,000 minutes of video captioned and translated using Fluen Studio. Whether you contributed 5 minutes or 5,000, we’re truly grateful for your trust and partnership.

Beyond the numbers, 2025 was a year of meaningful progress, driven in large part by feedback from users like you. Below is a recap of some of the most impactful enhancements we introduced this year.

What’s New in Fluen Studio

Collaboration with Teams & Workspaces

We introduced our Teams subscription, enabling multiple workspaces and collaborators within Fluen Studio.

Because many configuration options are workspace-based, this gives you greater flexibility to:

Separate projects or clients.
Apply different settings for different video types.
Have different collaborators for each project (workspace).
Collaborate seamlessly with teammates.

Glossary (Terminology Management)

To improve consistency and accuracy, We introduced a terminology management feature that we called "Term Base".

Workspace owners can create a term base / glossary by uploading a CSV file or adding individual terms to Fluen Studio to:

Preserve brand-specific spellings (e.g., StormClouD).
Ensure names and proper nouns are correct.
Enforce preferred translations for industry-related words or phrases.
Prevent certain words or phrases from being translated at all.

This is especially helpful for branded content and technical terminology.

Advanced Caption Placement

Caption positioning is now more flexible than ever.

We have made it much easier to move captions around the screen. You can now drag the caption cue to any of 15 positions on the screen. This will apply to all subsequent cues. So if you want to move a single cue, then just go to the next one and move it back.

For vertically oriented videos, captions now default to leaving space at the bottom of the screen so that social media action buttons don’t obscure your text. If you want the captions at the bottom, move the first one down as described above.

Note: Caption positioning is supported when exporting to VTT caption files or burned-in video files. The SRT format does not support positioning metadata.

Expanded Language Support

We continue to expand Fluen’s global reach. Fluen Studio now supports 50+ languages for captioning and translation - both to and from.

Multiple Transcription Engines

Captioning in Fluen Studio combines two steps: Transcription (word-level text with timing) and Timing & segmentation, created by Fluen’s proprietary and market leading logic.

Different transcription engines excel under different conditions, such as mixed languages, poor audio quality, turnaround requirements, or how the transcript will be used.

If the default engine doesn’t deliver ideal results, you can reprocess your video at no additional cost using an alternative engine.

Upload External Caption Files

We realize that users may need to use an srt file that has been created or at least edited outside of Fluen Studio. This srt file can be uploaded into Fluen Studio once the video file has been processed.

These are the major enhancements from 2025, but there we also lots of smaller improvements to Fluen Studio. A lot of these improvements were suggested by our users, who really know what is needed. Your feedback truly shapes Fluen.
